The Cascade Block Story
Cascade Enterprises was incorporated in Grants Pass, Or. on April 2, 1957. Hal Skudstad purchased the company in the early 1960's. It consisted of a few old trucks, an antiquated block machine, and a tiny office. In the early 1980's, a second location was obtained in Medford, Or.
The company has gradually grown over the years into the premier block manufacturing company in Southern Oregon. It is now owned by Hal's daughter, Dian Skudstad, and C.J. Maphet.
The current manufacturing facility in Medford employs state-of-the-art equipment and technology, producing over 4,000,000 concrete block per year. A fleet of 6 boom trucks, 2 dump trucks, and a small flatbed deliver product to jobsites locally from the yards in Grants Pass and Medford.
A dealer network allows the company to service customers throughout southern Oregon and northern California, including Klamath Falls, Brookings, Gold Beach, Yreka, Weed, Fort Jones, Weaverville, Eureka, Arcata, McKinleyville, and Crescent City.
Our partnerships with many other companies enable Cascade Block to supply building materials to an increasing variety of projects, with a wide range of size and complexity. Past projects include Super-WalMart, Grants Pass High School, Hospital Additions, Albertsons, Ross, Costco, and a host of landscaping projects done by professionals and discriminating do-it-yourselfers.
We continue to grow, searching for new products and strengthening the training of our staff in product knowledge and customer service. We strive to better serve you and your building material needs.
